Zhou Dynasty
In 1154 BCE, Zhou Xin of Shang, the inventor of chopsticks, came to power and ruled with wickedness; making public spectacles of torturing prisoners and burning them alive. His wife Ta-ki was fond these disturbing events. His rule ended with the Battle of Muye, in which King Wu of Zhou—founder of the longest of Chinese dynasties lasting 967 years—destroyed Zhou Xin's forces, leading him to set his palace on fire, dying within.
